Iraqi Media News Agency reported the attack, saying the bomb went off in a market in al-Mahmoudiyah area south of Baghdad.
The agency quoted a security source as saying that an explosive device was detonated near a popular market in Sayyed Abdallah town in al-Mahmoudiyah region.
The source added that two people were killed and four others were injured, and that ambulances rushed to the blast scene.
