At least two people have been killed and eight others injured in two bomb explosions
At least two people have been killed and eight others injured in two bomb explosions in and around the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Wednesday.
A civilian was killed and six others wounded when a roadside bomb ripped through a marketplace in Baghdad's northern neighborhood of Adhamiyah, Xinhua reported, quoting an unnamed Interior Ministry source.
Before the bomb went off in the Adhamiyah district, two rockets landed in the capital's heavily-fortified Green Zone -- home to the US embassy and the Iraqi government offices. No casualties have so far been reported.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a soldier was killed and two others injured in a roadside bomb explosion near the Abu Ghraib area, some 20 km west of Baghdad, the source said.
