IRNA news agency reported that the visit by Syrian and Russian DMs is at the invitation of their Iranian counterpart.
"The trilateral session which is taking place on Iran’s initiative will review the latest regional development and explore ways to foster and promote ways to fight terrorism," IRNA said.
"The meeting is to be held upon official invitations sent by Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan for his counterparts Fahd Jassem al-Freij from Syria and Sergey Shoygu from Russia," the Iranian agency added.
