Iraqi Foreign Ministry has demanded the Saudi government to clarify the statements of its interior ministry spokesman regarding the gathering of financial contributions for ISIL terrorist group within the kingdom.
According to Alsumaria news channel, the ministry spokesman Ahmad Jamal said, "We are waiting the Saudi authorities to clarify their interior ministry press statement about the existence of financial contributions within the Kingdom for ISIL terrorist group," adding that any aid for such group under the guise of helping "children of Fallujah" represents a clear violation of Security Council resolutions.
Jamal added that eradicating the terrorist groups requires drying up its their financial sources and striking their sympathizing communities, blasting the Saudi remarks against the popular Mobilization Forces.
The Saudi authorities had announced that certain local communities are collecting financial donations for ISIL, pointing out that they arrested 226 people involved in supporting terrorism.
