The Saudi press agency SPA quoted an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as expressing support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to all judicial actions taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain, to fight "extremism" and "terrorism", in all forms and manifestations, including the decisions that have been announced against associations and organizations, causing sectarianism and factionalism.

Saudi has always repressed the political activities across its territories and in Bahrain where it joined the Peninsula Shield Troops to confront the peaceful protests.

The Bahraini regime had suspended the key political association in Bahrain, al-Wefaq, confiscating its funds and closing its headquarters.

Also the religious associations of al-Tawiya and al-Risala were dissolved, after the Bahraini King announced preventing the combination of the religious and political activities.
