Lebanese House Speaker Nabih Berri received on Monday his Italian counterpart Laura Boldrini at his residence in Ain el Tineh as the discussions tackled the recent developments in the Middle East.

Boldrini said that Lebanon's stability and coexistence sample serve the interests of the whole region.  

The Italian Parliament Speaker added that the Syrian refugee crisis was on table and that he hailed during the meeting Lebanon's role in dealing with this issue.

"We also stressed the necessity of doubling the efforts to find a political solution in Syria."
