On Monday the UN chief heads to al-Quds (Jerusalme) to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Reuven Rivlin, while on Monday he will head to Gaza and then to Jordan.

Ahead of his Middle East tour, Ban traveled to France to meet with President Francois Hollande and Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault, as France seeks to organize an international conference later this year to revive the moribund Israeli-Palestinian peace process.
