Israeli occupation forces killed a Palestinian woman on Friday at the Ibrahimi Mosque in West Bank.

Occupation police claimed that the woman attempted to stab Israeli border police guards at the flashpoint shrine in the Old City of the southern occupied WB district of al-Khalil (Hebron).

The police said that no police were wounded in the alleged attempt.

Maan News Agency cited Israeli media as identifying the Palestinian woman as 27-year-old Sara Hajaj from the village of Bani Naim in al-Khalil.

Bani Naim is the same village where a 17-year-old Palestinian boy originated from who carried out a deadly stab attack in the illegal Kiryat Arba settlement just a day before, resulting in the death of an Israeli female settler.

The town Bani Naim has been sealed by Israeli forces since Thursday, with only urgent humanitarian cases allowed passage through Israeli checkpoints, Maan reported.
