Iranian President Hasan Rouhani said the world has admitted to the role of the Islamic Republic in international security.

“Today, all countries of the world admit Iran's role in establishment of regional security as positive, influential and important,” Rouhani said in a meeting with Iranian expatriates in the Azeri capital, Baku.

Meanwhile, the Iranian president stressed the importance of cooperation between the two nations.

“'We should benefit from the chance properly and serve the interests of the two nations and governments,” IRNA news agency quoted Rouhani as saying on Sunday.

He stressed that his government “has applied the win-win policy not only in the nuclear talks, but in its relations with other countries.”

Assuring that a win-lose policy would never benefit any country or continue for a long time, President Rouhani said even the nuclear talks could not be successful or lasting if it was based on a win-lose policy.
