Lebanese Foreign Minister says Lebanon will not support any resolution against Syria
Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour said on Saturday that Lebanon, which is the president of the UN Security Council for the month of September, will not support any resolution against Syria. He noted that even Russia rejects a resolution against Syria in the form that the West wants.
In a statement, Mansour said the government will not dissociate itself from international resolutions but would invest its presidency of the Security Council diplomatically.
Mansour said the security situation in Syria today is better than it was five months ago. He wondered how Syrian army soldiers could be martyred if the so-called opposition was not armed, as they claim.
