Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif discussed regional developments with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov ahead of Turkey visit.
In a telephone conversation on Thursday, the two top diplomats exchanged their views on the latest developments in the region, especially Syria, Iran and Yemen, IRNA news agency reported.
Zarif will leave Tehran for Ankara on Friday to hold talks with senior Turkish officials, Foreign Ministry Spokesman announced on Thursday.
"Zarif will visit Turkey tomorrow at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Mevlet Cavushoglu," Bahram Qassemi said.
He noted that Zarif will also hold talks with other senior Turkish officials in addition to Cavushoglu.
Zarif's visit to Turkey is the first visit by a high-ranking Iranian officials after the recent failed coup in that country.
The two sides are slated to hold talks on bilateral ties, latest regional developments and international issues.
