Battles in Aleppo are still ongoing between the Syrian army and its allies on one side and Takfiri terrorists on the other side, with the fierce clashes intensifying in the city's southern front.

Syrian sources told al-Manar that the Syrian army on Friday targeted with a guided missile Jaish al-Fath's post in Aleppo's southern countryside, killing several insurgents.

Meanwhile Syrian air forces targeted several sites for terrorists, destroying a large number of armored cars, car bombs, vehicles equipped with machine guns and others loaded with ammunition, SANA news agency quoted other sources as saying.

The sources added that tens of insurgents were killed in areas south of the military academies, south of al-Hikma School, in the vicinity of Project 1070 (departments), in the area surrounding al-Ramousa, kafr Naha, Kafr Hamra, al-Ameriyeh and south of the gas plant in Aleppo.

In the same context, Syrian troops repelled terrorist attacks against the only supply route of Aleppo near the town of Khanasir. Addounia television channel reported that Takfiris attempted to attack the army positions, and have since retreated to the desert.

Earlier on Thursday, the Syrian army’s air force destroyed tens of armored vehicles and explosives for terrorist organizations and killed a large number of terrorists, among them leaders in the surroundings of Ramousah, Ameriya and Khan Touman in Aleppo countryside.

The allied forces also advanced in different directions in the southern countryside of the province under an air and artillery cover, establishing control on a number of positions in the surroundings of the military academies and 1070 Apartments Project after killing a large number of terrorists.
