Heavy fighting took place in different sectors of the Syrian city of Aleppo on Sunday as Syrian army, supported by allied forces, launched airstrikes on terrorists causing several casualties and damages to their equipment.
The Syrian news agency SANA reported that Syrian Air Force launched airstrikes on terrorists’ gatherings and movement axes in the area surrounding al-Ramousa, al-Amyria and Khan Touman in Aleppo, destroying a number of armored vehicles, some of them are booby-trapped, and killing tens of them.
The agency’s correspondent in Aleppo said that army units clashed with terrorists of “Jasih al-Fatah” on al-Ramousa axis, destroying a SUV with guided missile and killing all terrorists inside it in the area surrounding al-Ramousa garage.
However, the British-based Syrian Observatory reported that terrorists assaulted two government strongholds in the city's northwest and south.
It claimed that insurgents detonated car bombs before launching an attack on the Jamiat al-Zahraa district, an army base and residential district.
Earlier in the day, the Syrian army and its allies captured some buildings in the southwestern 1070 housing development, also located near the entrance to the terrorists’ corridor into Aleppo.
