Lebanon President Michel Suleiman arrived in New York city and chaired a meeting of the Lebanese delegation ahead of UN sessions this week
Upon arrival in New York, Lebanon President Michel Suleiman chaired a meeting of the Lebanese delegation on Monday night ahead of the sessions that will be held at the United Nations headquarters this week.
Suleiman put the finishing touches on the delegation’s preparations before attending a UN General Assembly meeting and chairing a Security Council session, the National News Agency reported.
Lebanon currently holds the rotating presidency of the Security Council throughout September.
The president is expected to address the General Assembly on Wednesday and the Security Council on Thursday. He will also take part in a special session on Libya.
