More than 151 Lebanese ladies arrived in Aleppo on Saturday to support Syria in the face of foreign conspiracies and to express unity of the two brotherly people.
More than 151 Lebanese ladies on Saturday arrived in Aleppo in the framework of Mary (2) Convoy which leads a campaign to support Syria in the face of the foreign conspiracies and to express the unity of the two brotherly people.
The participants in the convoy headed directly to the Grand Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo to meet the Grand Mufti of the Republic Ahmad Bader Eddin Hassoun to extend condolences over his son’s martyrdom.
The Mufti of the Republic said Syria is targeted due to its commitment to Arab rights, especially the Palestinian cause, and support to the Lebanese and Palestinian resistance.
Hassoun said ''The Lebanese women's delegation is sending a message to the Arab nation that Lebanon has paid in blood the price of foreign conspiracies, so don't allow this to happen in Syria.''
Governor of Aleppo Muaffaq Khallouf welcomed the Lebanese delegation, adding that the events in Syria started as legitimate demands then turned into killings, vandalism and assassinations.
He said the Syrian people have realized the scope of the conspiracy as some powers continue with their lies and deception through TV channels to put pressure on Syria.
Coordinator of the Convoy Samar al-Haj said the aim of her visit to Syria is to send a message that Syria is fine and the claims of biased channels on the events are baseless.
The delegation attended the opening of a handicrafts expo in Aleppo, with the participation of 45 ladies.
