Helmi Mussa to Al-Manar Website:
Swap Deal… One in a Series

Israel Found Itself Obliged to Approve Deal
Resistance Destroyed Israeli Standards…
Swap Deal Achievement despite All Claims
Impossible to Release All Detainees at Once
Israel Unable in Face of Resistance’s Faith
Deal Acceptable for Palestinians at All Levels
Swap Deal… Long-Term Accomplishment

Palestinian journalist and expert in Israeli affairs Helmi Mussa said that the prisoner swap deal reached by Hamas resistance movement and the Israeli enemy was one episode in an ongoing struggle path. He noted that it might be an introduction for something big at the long-term, and stressed that capture operations would continue as long as Israel keeps Palestinian prisoners detained.

In an exclusive interview with Al-Manar Website, Mussa undermined claims about concessions offered by the Palestinian Resistance in order to finalize the deal, and remarked that the achieved results were big even though they did not fulfill the ambitions of all people. He stressed that any swap deal could not end by releasing all Palestinian and Arab prisoners at once.

While noting that the Israeli enemy cannot claim that what happened was an achievement, Mussa expressed belief that Israelis were convinced that their government spared no effort to finalize the deal, but that it had no other choice but to approve it.

RESISTANCE PATIENCE TRIUMPHED
Expert in Israeli affairs Helmi Mussa told Al-Manar Website that the announced prisoner swap deal reached by Hamas resistance movement and the Israeli enemy was good for many reasons. He explained that the Israeli enemy had no choice but to approve the deal. He admitted that it might be true that the accomplishment was less than the wishes, but stressed the achieved results were enormous.

Mussa pointed out that the Israeli government was a right-wing one which claimed that it was able to get its captured soldier Gilad Shalit back through other tools. He rejected claims that the Zionist enemy paid a big price prior to the deal, and said that the real value of the deal comes in the interest of the Palestinian people. He stressed that the resistance’s patience triumphed as it led to destroying the Israeli so-called standards for any swap deal.

ONLY WISHES…
Mussa undermined all claims about concessions offered by the Palestinian Resistance in order to finalize the deal in light of press reports about the exclusion of some military and political Palestinian leaders, in addition to Hamas military officials who would remain in prison.

Mussa said that even if these claims proved to be true, they do not represent the correct standards to evaluate the swap deal. He noted that there were not less than 10 thousand Palestinians in Israeli prisons. “It is impossible for any deal to fulfill all the ambitions of the people,” he said. “The Resistance cannot free all Arab and Palestinian detainees at once,” he added, as he said that all other arguments do not exceed being mere wishes.

ISRAEL UNABLE...
Mussa rejected claims that Israel won from the deal, and that the Israelis absolutely cannot claim to have achieved any victory in this regard. “What happened proved the opposite,” he said. “Israel found itself unable in the face of the resistance’s faith, given that the resistance has achieved the majority of its demands, if not all,” he added. He expressed belief that Israelis were convinced that their government spared no effort to finalize the daily, but that it had no other choice but to approve the deal.

Answering a question about the repercussions of the deal on the conflict with the Israeli enemy, he said that the swap deal was one in a series. He hinted that it might be an introduction to something big in the long-term. “As long as there’s a conflict, then the operations against Israelis would continue. As long as Israel keeps Palestinian prisoners detained, then capture operations would continue,” he concluded.
