Arab Tawhid party head says STL under our feet, calls those eager to finance it to pay costs from their own pocket

The head of the Arab Tawhid Party in Lebanon former minister Wiam Wahhab said on Sunday that all international resolutions, from the 1559 to that which established the STL, are US-Israeli resolutions.

During the ceremonial lay of the first stone of Salman al-Farisi Hospital in Al-Jahiliya town, Wahhab called on those who are eager to fund the STL and own many properties to pay the Tribunal’s costs from their own pocket and not from that of the Lebanese.

“Even if you fund the STL and pay billions, this Tribunal is now under our feet for only the resolutions of the resistance in Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq were able to change the equations, restore Lebanese territories to us, free Palestinian and Lebanese detainees and force the occupation forces to leave Iraq," Wahhab went on to say, addressing those pro-STL.

The former minister hailed the Russian and Chinese stance at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and their use of the veto power against the US-European anti-Syria resolution. He noted that this position restored in some way the balance to the international equation and suspended the American foolishness.

During the same ceremony, Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Rukn Abadi delivered a speech in which he declared the Islamic Republic’s absolute support to the unity in the face of the Israeli enemy and its international protectors. He said Iran backs all popular movements and revolutions aimed at rejecting the US-Zionist hegemony, but warned against the enemies’ conspiracy seeking to deviate the Arab revolutions from their original and national goals.
