Iran has always based its international relations upon “wisdom and humanity”
Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has suggested to Saudi authorities to exercise discretion about the recent anti-Iran allegation by the US and not to be entrapped by the publicity stunt.
Referring to the recent US allegation of Iran's engagement in a plot to assassinate the Saudi envoy to Washington, Salehi said on Monday that the Saudi authorities are “well aware” that the US allegation against the Islamic Republic seeks to cause a rift between the countries in the region, IRNA reported.
Last week, the US Justice Department accused Iran of involvement in a plot to assassinate Saudi Arabian Ambassador to Washington Adel Al-Jubeir with help from a suspected member of a Mexican drug cartel.
Salehi went on to say that the Islamic Republic is a country that has suffered from terrorism over the years since the Islamic Revolution, saying that the US Justice Department was in a rush to accuse Iran.
Describing the move by the US as “a weak scenario,” the Iranian foreign minister said the US officials sought to take advantage of the political hype to propagate against Iran.
The Iranian foreign minister pointed out that Iran has always based its international relations upon “wisdom and humanity.”
