Hundreds of residents from Jabal Mohsen gathered in support for the Syrian regime on Monday.

"Around 1500 people gathered Friday night in Tripoli's Jabal Mohsen to welcome the "Syrian Youth in support for the Syrian army" delegation of which is visiting Lebanon as a part of a campaign to mobilize solidarity with the Syrian army and regime." Agence France Presse reported.

The demonstrators raised the Syrian flags and hailed for Syrian President Bashar Assad, roaming the streets of Jabal Mohsen amidst security forces and army deployment.

This demonstration supporting the Syrian regime is the first of its kind in the region, while in surrounding neighborhoods constant protests against Assad regime are erupting.

The protest is the first move being in the area of Jabal Mohsen in support of the Syrian regime.
