"There was an enormous explosion and a huge fire. More than 100 people were killed and 50 others wounded" NTC Military Commander in Tripoli Leith Mohammad told AFP.
The accidental explosion that was a result of a spark from a close electricity generator happened as a crowd of people were waiting near the fuel tank to fill up their cars.
