Head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad Met MP Michel Aoun Friday, and stressed the need for ongoing cooperation and coordination between both parties.

The head of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc MP Mohammed Raad stressed in Friday the need for ongoing cooperation and coordination between Hezbollah and the Free Patriotic Movement.

He stated after holding talks with FPM leader MP Michel Aoun in Rabyeh: “Reports of tensions between us and the FPM are baseless.”

“We enjoy a common vision and joint principles with the FPM,” he added.

“The meeting took long because of the several issues that we discussed, including local, governmental, and regional ones,” he continued.

On warnings that Lebanon will face international sanctions should it fail to fund the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, Raad remarked: “There is an external attempt to usurp our national sovereignty through the economy, security, judiciary, and all other fields.”

Aoun is later expected to make a television appearance on Al-Manar TV Friday night.
