The quake's epicenter was located around 71 kilometers northeast of Oklahoma City, the US Geological Survey reported.
There has been no immediate report of casualties or major damage.
The quake was reportedly felt as far away as Kansas City, St. Louis, and Wylie, Texas.
The tremor followed three other minor quakes in the States on Saturday, including a 4.7 one, centered about six miles north of the town of Prague in Oklahoma's southern Lincoln County.
