Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah is to deliver a speech on Friday on the occasion of martyr’s day.
Hezbollah Media Relations said in a statement that a rally will be held for the occasion at 3 p.m. at Sayyed al-Shuhada Compound in Beirut’s Southern suburbs.
Lebanese newspapers said on Wednesday that Sayyed Nasrallah is expected to tackle the issue of financing the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, the situation in Syria and the latest developments in the region, particularly in light of tensions between the U.S. and Iran.
Hezbollah stages at 11/11 of every year a ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of Martyr’s day. In that day of 1982 the first self- sacrifice martyr Ahmad Qassir drove his explosives-laden car up to the Israeli military headquarters in the southern Lebanese city of Tyr, killing 141 Israeli soldiers and intelligence agents, and heavily damaging the headquarters building.
This toll was announced by the Zionist entity. However many observers said that Israel lost more than 200 soldiers.
