“Today Arab parts have proved that since the beginning they were tools for implementing American and Europeans agendas; they also seek to reject any patriotic Arab decision to solve the conflict in Syria, and to summon foreign interference in all its forms, no matter what cost this had on the whole region and on the Arab national security,” Al-Ahmad said in the first Syrian official response to the League’s decision.

The Syrian representative further explained that “it was clear that the state members and the Arab League’s secretary general were making efforts throughout the meeting to release a suspension decision against Syria in an illegal way… for legally, suspending any state membership requires a decision taken by a summit that includes all the state members.”

He also found it strange that after the league sent a fact-finding delegation to Syria, which the latter received Friday and promised cooperation with, it took back its decision and put an end to the entire Arab League plan for ending the unrest in Syria.

In parallel, Al-Ahmad indicated that this decision came after the United States expressed its rejection for any Arab interference in solving the Syrian situation. However, he reassured that all the Arab wagers will fail and that Syria will eventually Triumph as all the resistance forces in the region will stand by its side.
