Arab League foreign ministers will meet in Morocco Wednesday in response to Syria’s call for an urgent Arab Summit to discuss solutions for the Syrian crisis.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry spokesman Amar Belani told AFP: “We have decided on a meeting of foreign ministers of the Arab League on November 16 at Rabat, on Syria..."
He added that “the Arab League's foreign ministers had decided to give Syria 15 days to implement a peace plan that Damascus had agreed on with the League… Saturday's vote to suspend Syria from the Arab League was not consistent with that earlier decision.”
This comes as Algeria has rejected Sunday the AL’s decision against Syria and said it will not withdraw its ambassador from Damascus.
