Hezbollah on Tuesday extended congratulations to the Lebanese people on the occasion of Lebanon’s 68th anniversary of independence.

Hezbollah on Tuesday extended congratulations to the Lebanese people on the occasion of Lebanon’s 68th anniversary of independence.

“Independence day constitutes an important phase for the Lebanese, and represents the sacrifices offered by our surviving people… to liberate their land,” Hezbollah said in a statement.

The party also called on the Lebanese to “unite through the formula of [people, army and Resistance],” which contributed to the liberation of May 2000 and the Divine Victory of July 2006.

“Hezbollah calls for awareness of the threats to our country and the region, due to enemy conspiracies targeting our freedom, our dignity, our pride, our sovereignty, and the independence of our homeland," the statement read.
