A number of Israeli tanks rolled into Gaza on Wednesday. At least thirteen Palestinians, including children, have been injured in two separate Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, medics say.

Three Israeli bulldozers accompanied with two military vehicles invaded Al-Zeitun suburb in the east part of Gaza city. They opened massive fire at civilian houses and agricultural lands, SAFA News Agency reported.

Eleven Palestinians were injured after an Israeli tank shell hit eastern part of the Gaza City.

Three members of the Al-Quds Brigades, the armed wing of Islamic Jihad, and three children are among the injured.

Adham Abu Silmya, medical emergency spokesman, said that 11 people including three children were wounded during Israeli attack , two of them sustained serious injuries.

Ambulances and medical teams evacuated the victims to Al-Shifaa hospital in central Gaza city.

Local sources reported that the incursion hit three members of The Islamic Jehad movement when they were trying to confront by firing two mortar shells at Israeli bulldozers.

Separately, two Palestinian workers were shot and injured by Israeli gunfire as they were collecting cement particles left behind from the houses that were destroyed in north of the town of Beit Lahiya near the border during the Israeli war on Gaza at the turn of 2009.

Since March 2010, more than one hundred Palestinians have been shot by Israeli soldiers while collecting construction material.
