Israeli shelling does not spare tents and wells.

Israeli bulldozers have demolished 12 tents and two wells near the West Bank city of al-Khalil yesterday, including one from the Roman era, AFP reported.

The United Nations has repeatedly condemned Israel for defying international calls to halt its demolition and settlement construction activities.

CLASHES IN SILWAN
Violent clashes erupted Tuesday evening between Palestinian residents and Israeli forces in several districts of Silwan town, southern Al-Qsaa mosque.

"Clashes took place in the streets of Silwan town and concentrated around the protest tent in Al-Bustan neighborhood, the areas of Ras al-Amud, Bir Ayyub, and Baten al-Hawa," Fakhri Abu Diab said, a member of Silwan defense committee.

Meanwhile, Israeli military forces launched a barrage of sound and gas bombs at civilian houses and protestors in the streets.

Citizens of Silwan town expressed their fear of being captured by Israeli police due to the involvement in such demonstrations since occupation forces detained Jawad Siyam, Wadi Helwa center director for the same reason.
