The Iranian parliament has approved the Syrian-Iranian free trade agreement in support of the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad who’s facing organized western campaign.
According to Iranian state television said that the bill provides for free trade between Iran and Syria within the next five years adding that Iran is ready for signing the agreement in initials.
The Syrian Iranian economic follow up committee has held a meeting on Tuesday in its ninth session in the Sheraton Hotel in Damascus. Iranian minister of transport and housing Mr. Ali Nikzad said that the two sides reviewed previous agreements signed between both countries. The minister spoke about enhancing cooperation particularly in the housing and transport sectors.
The Iranian minister reaffirmed his country's support for Syria and keenness on having best relations in all fields.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the two sides agreed on forming four committees for improving means of developing economic, trade and investment cooperation between Syria and Iran.
Allaedin Boroujerdi said the proposed pact was "a firm response" to the United States and its allies "investing billions of dollars to change the political structure of the Syrian government."
