Member of Iran’s Majlis Committee on National Security and Foreign Policy Avaz Heidarpour said Wednesday that the Islamic Republic started the construction of a new nuclear plant for civilian purposes in the central province of Isfahan.
Heidarpour told reporters that the new site is currently under construction in the city of Shahreza, with the objective of supplying the country's demands for civilian nuclear products. He added that the site is scheduled to be inaugurated within the next three years, IRNA reported.
The site will facilitate the supplying of Iran's medical and agricultural needs, the Iranian legislator pointed out.
