The attack, which left seven Iranian visitors wounded, struck their bus in southwest Baghdad while it was en route to Karbala, officials from the interior and defense ministries said, speaking on condition of anonymity.
It also followed two separate attacks in the capital on Saturday that also targeted six Iranian visitors Iranians heading to holy sites in Iraq.
Every day, thousands of visitors, many of them from Iran and other countries, visit Karbala and Iraq's other major holy shrines in Samarra, Najaf and Baghdad.
