Among the dead werea woman and three boys.
A suicide attack on a market in Pakistan’s northwestern town of Kohat killed 17 people on Wednesday, the local police chief said.
Kohat police chief Dilawar Bangash said that a woman and three boys were among those killed when the bomber struck in Kohat, a city of at least half a million and one of the main garrisons for the Pakistan military, in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
"It was a suicide blast," Bangash said.
Local police spokesman Fazal Naeem said the bomber approached the door of a bus carrying passengers to the nearby tribal district of Orakzai and detonated his explosives.
Earlier it appeared the bomb was planted in a vehicle parked at the main bus stand, but Banghash said that the police have now found the body parts of the suicide bomber.
