Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh took off for an Arab, International trip Sunday, in which he will be visiting Egypt, Sudan, and later to Turkey, Tunisia, Bahrain, and Qatar, but the latter is not confirmed yet.
Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh took off for an Arab, International trip Sunday, in which he will be visiting Egypt, Sudan, and later to Turkey, Tunisia, Bahrain, and Qatar, but the latter is not confirmed yet.
The trip, which is the first for Haniyeh since the Israeli siege on Gaza in 2007, is aimed at obtaining help and aid to rebuild the Gaza City, but Haniya will also reportedly address the issue of Palestinian reconciliation in talks.
Haniyeh entered Egypt through the Rafah crossing, and will meet Egyptian officials there, to later take off to Khartoum.
