Head of the Iranian armed forces hoped that “the US learned a good lesson from its defeats in Iraq and would not think of attacking and occupying any other countries in the world.”
Head of the Armed Forces Joint Chief of Staff General Hasan Firouzabadi expressed happiness over the expulsion of the defeated US military forces and other countries’ troops from Iraq, and expressed readiness to bolster military, defense, and security cooperation with Iraq.
In separate messages to his Iraqi counterpart Babakr Zebari and Defense Ministry Caretaker Sadun Al-Dulaymi on Sunday, Firouzabadi said that “the achievement was due to the resistance and will of both the Iraqi nation and government.”
