Saudi state television reported Wednesday that the Saudi authorities arrested two of 23 wanted after the peaceful marches witnessed by al-Qatif city in the Eastern region, which led to the martyrdom of four Saudi nationals.
The state TV quoted a statement issued by the Saudi Interior Ministry saying that the three of the wanted on charges of "inciting unrest" in the eastern region have also surrendered to security authorities.
The Saudi Interior Ministry has issued a previous statement on Monday, in which it underlined the names of wanted, and called on them to hasten to surrender to the nearest police station.
The statement included a number of accusations against the protests occurred in the Eastern Region during the recent months. Accusations were "mob gatherings, obstruction of traffic within neighborhoods, destruction of public and private property, and illegal possession of firearms."
The statement echoed what had already said in previous statements, that the "heinous acts" - as described - was in response to external agendas.
The statement alluded to the possibility of adding new names to the wanted list, stating that “anyone similar to them will be declared by interior ministry, after the completion of verification procedures against him."
The ministry warned everyone who houses "troublemakers" or deal with them according to the statement.
