U.S. Department of State confirmed that  groups sympathetic with al Qaeda extremist movement eventually exist in Lebanon. The confirmation, which contradicts with what the March 14 figures have successively denied, is fully compatible with what same figures had told the U.S. officials, and revealed by Wikileaks documents.
