Canada's Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird condemned Friday the wave of attacks that hit Iraq lately killing dozens of people and visitors.
In a statement he published, the Canadian top diplomat said that “Canada strongly condemns the cowardly attacks in Nasiriyah, which killed numerous Shiite pilgrims, and the recent bombings in Baghdad.”
Baird offered Canada's "deepest sympathies" to the families and friends of the victims while calling for perpetrators of the attacks to be brought to justice.
The latest bombing that hit Iraq fell on Thursday killing 68 people in Baghdad and the southern city of Nasiriyah.
