Hezbollah condemned, on Wednesday, the assassination of an Iranian nuclear scientist as a terrorist crime, stressing that the killing would not hinder the Islamic Republic’s scientific development.

“Once again the Zionist terror rocks, targeting the elite minds of Iran who are working in the nuclear power field”, the party said in a statement published by Hezbollah’s Media Relations.
The killing “is an attempt to obstruct the scientific progress achieved by the Islamic Republic”.

“The assassination of the martyr Mostafa Ahmadi Roshan in the Iranian capital, Tehran, is a terrorist crime that targets a large scientific power which contributes to the scientific development of Iran”, the statement added.

The party also said that the crime “comes at a time of a western media attack aimed at tarnishing the image of Iran’s nuclear program through accusing it (program) of military purposes despite all evidences proposed by the Islamic Republic over its peaceful aims”.

As Hezbollah condemned the crime, it voiced confidence the assassination would not hinder the scientific progress of the Islamic Republic.
