Iranian ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asghar Soltanieh said Tuesday that an IAEA high-ranking delegation will visit Iran by the end of this month.
Soltanieh told the Iranian news agency ISNA that “the delegation would be led by the IAEA Deputy Director General Herman Nackaerts,” and indicated that “the visit aims at negotiating issues of common interests between Iran and the agency.”
In parallel, the Iranian official noted that “the visit signals the country's interaction with the IAEA to remove ambiguities and hold a meeting under the framework of technical issues and based on the commitments of the two sides.”
He also regarded the step as a "sign of transparency in the country's nuclear program”.
