Hezbollah tackled Wednesday the electricity problem in Lebanon being a major crisis, especially at a time when Lebanon is facing this harsh winter.
In a statement it issued, Hezbollah Media Relations said that “the citizens in Lebanon are living an electricity crisis, especially amid the harsh winter that is striking the country.”
“Undoubtedly, this crisis is due to the regression that this sector has witnessed over the years, and which the successive governments bear its responsibility,” the statement added, assuring that “holding a certain ministry the responsibility of this crisis is not possible.”
The party further indicated that confronting this crisis was the government’s duty, adding that “Hezbollah considers that the aggravation of this crisis and not giving heed to it causes major economic and social perils…”
“Therefore, the government is required to shoulder its responsibilities and take a serious initiative to solve this crisis, by providing the credits needed and committing to the predefined electricity plan,” Hezbollah concluded.
