Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman condemned the abduction of 11 Iranian visitors in central Syria calling on Syrian officials to do their best for their immediate release
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast condemned on Thursday the abduction of 11 Iranian visitors in central Syria calling on Syrian officials to do their best for their immediate release, IRNA reported.
“According to reports, a total of 11 Iranian visitors who were on a visiting journey to Syria by bus were kidnapped en route Halab to Damascus in central Syria on Thursday,” he added.
Mehmanparast called such measures as contrary to moral and international commitments.
“Abduction of Iranian pilgrims is not justifiable and it is expected from the Syrian officials to take necessary measures for release of Iranian nationals,” he added.
