Israeli airstrikes wounded two Palestinians in the Gaza strip early on Friday.
Only hours after the UN Chief’s visit to the strip, Israeli occupation forces staged airstrikes on the northern town of Beit Lahiya, seriously injuring a three-and-a-half-year-old girl.
The strikes also left another man moderately wounded, according to a spokesman for Gaza emergency services.
Five other attacks in the central and southern Gaza Strip targeted tunnels and fields, as well as another house in Jablais in the northern Strip.
The Israeli occupation military confirmed the attacks, claiming they "targeted two weapon storing facilities in the northern Gaza Strip, three terror tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip and a weapon manufacturing facility in the central Gaza Strip," a statement read. "Direct hits were confirmed as well as secondary explosions at several targets."
The military also said the attacks were in response to the Palestinian rocket fire.
UN leader Ban Ki-moon visited the strip on Thursday. As he entered Gaza he came under a shower of shoes by relatives of Palestinians in Israeli jails.
Protesters said they were protesting the fact that Ban was not meeting with them or Palestinian prisoner groups during his brief trip to Gaza.
