Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad officially inaugurated the Spanish service of the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on Thursday.
The Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Sayyed Mohammad Hosseini, presidential press and media advisor and IRNA managing director, Ali Akbar Javanfekr, and several well-known Iranian personalities attended the opening ceremony of IRNA’s Spanish service.
The opening of IRNA’s Spanish service coincided with the ceremonies marking the 18th anniversary of the establishment of Iran Cultural and Press Institute and publication of the 5,000th issue of Persian-language newspaper Iran.
IRNA, Iran’s official news agency, currently has services in several languages such as Farsi, English, Arabic, French, Chinese, Turkish, and Spanish.
