Hamas Prime Minister in Gaza, Ismael Haniyeh, is to make a visit to Iran on Friday as Iranians are celebrating the 33rd anniversary of the 1979 Islamic revolution’s victory, Iranian government officials said.

The PM was to be received by Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi, the officials said, without giving other details or the duration of the visit.

Reports said Haniyeh would hold talks with Iranian officials and receive an honorary degree from Tehran University.
