Iran's Ambassador to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Ali Asghar Soltanieh said the IAEA's board of governors meeting on Thursday witnessed the defeat of US' diplomacy vis-a-vis Iran's diplomacy, according to IRNA news agency.
  
Talking to IRNA's correspondent Thursday at the end of IAEA's meeting in Vienna, Iran's ambassador pointed out that not issuing a resolution against Iran at the meeting and even issuing a statement by six countries concerning interaction between Iran and IAEA are tantamount to failure of US diplomacy vis-à-vis Iran's diplomacy.

He noted that Iran will continue to interact with IAEA.

In the meantime, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday that the US continues to believe there is time for diplomacy over Tehran's nuclear program.

Speaking at a joint press conference with Libyan Prime Minister Abdurrahim El-Keib, Clinton also stated that the international community is united in preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear capabilities. "We are united in our concerns and condemnation of Iran’s actions that violate their international obligations, and we are united in continuing to press the Iranian regime to come to the diplomatic forum that the P-5+1 offers," she said.

Clinton added that this unity has lead to "the toughest sanctions that the international community has ever imposed." Clinton indicated she hopes that Iran will come to the table prepared for "serious and sincere discussions" over its nuclear program.
