Hezbollah praised on Saturday the mass rallies that took place across Bahrain on Friday, urging the regime in the Gulf Island to respond to people’s demands.

Hezbollah praised on Saturday the mass rallies that took place across Bahrain on Friday, urging the regime in the Gulf Island to fulfill people’s demands.

“As Hezbollah praises these mass rallies which have lasted for months, it believes that the authorities in Bahrain have no choice but to fulfill the rightful demands for the people, in order to prevent the bloodshed of the innocents and to save the country from the inequity and oppression”, the party’s Media Relations office said in a statement.

“These mass rallies reflect the national unity within all the Bahraini sects, and stress that there is a national consensus on the importance of making change in the country as well as fulfilling all the rightful demands as soon as possible”.

Hezbollah also voices appreciation to the peacefulness of the rallies, “especially Friday’s march, despite the brutal crackdown by the regime against unarmed protesters, what leads to the fall of tens of Martyrs and injured, in addition to hundreds of arrested”.

The party urged the international community, along with the West, to hold their responsibilities with regard to the mass support of demands.

It also accused the West of practicing color blindness against the repression that the Bahrainis have been suffering from.
