Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Ghadanfar Roken Abadi said on Monday that his country “will not hesitate to respond to any act of aggression by the Zionist entity,” the National News Agency quoted him as saying.
Abadi added that “there are eleven thousand rockets (ready to hit) specific targets.”
The ambassador reiterated his country’s stance that in the event of an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Iran will target US and Israeli positions “in the region and the world,” adding that Zionist threats [of attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities “are nothing but words.”
Speculation continues about the possibility of an Israeli strike on Iran, under the plea that it is using its civilian peaceful nuclear program to mask a weapons drive.
Tehran strongly denies the charges, saying its nuclear program is for peaceful medical and energy purposes only.
