A seven-year-old Palestinian child who was hurt during four days of Israeli aggression on Gaza died of his wounds on Wednesday, a medical official said.
Baraka al-Mughrabi was severely injured during an Israeli air strike on Gaza Saturday, according to emergency services spokesman Adham Abu Selmiya.
The overall toll of the Palestinian martyrs since the beginning of the aggression on Friday rose to 26.
In the meantime, Israeli aircrafts raided Palestinian targets in the Gaza Strip Tuesday night. a spokeswoman for the army told the French press that “the raid struck two terrorist targets in the northern Gaza Strip in response to rocket fire on Israel.”
Palestinian police said an Israeli F-16 fighter jet fired a pair of rockets on a farm north of Gaza City, starting a blaze that spread to a neighboring residence. No casualties were reported.
Earlier Tuesday, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the Israeli army opened fire at a funeral east of Jabaliya, north of Gaza, wounding three people, according to witnesses.
The attack came after a truce between the Israeli occupation military and Palestinian resistance fighters was underway.
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said "quiet will bring quiet," but warned Zionist entity would strike anybody trying to attack it..
Netanyahu, speaking Tuesday evening at a conference of government ministry directors-general in occupied Al-Quds, said the recent Israeli militatry action in Gaza was testimony to the government's policies: "aggressive action in order to prevent Israeli citizens from being hurt, and increasing home front defense."
The Prime Minister said Israel would attack anyone disrupting, or even intending to disrupt, the quiet. "We hit precisely those engaged in terrorism, the terrorist commanders, the terrorist infrastructure and many of the missiles aimed at our cities and communities," Netanyahu said.
