At least six people were killed on Thursday in a suicide car bomb targeting police in a northwestern Pakistani town, police said."The bomber ... blew himself up when a police patrol went close to the car for a security check in Hangu town," senior local police official Abdul Rasheed told AFP.
"Six people including three policemen were killed and 30 wounded in the attack, which targeted the police."
He added that 10 houses collapsed from the impact of the blast.
Police spokesman Fazal Naeem also confirmed the attack and casualties.
Hangu has a history of sectarian clashes and is located near the lawless tribal belt.
