Iran has sent a second batch of humanitarian assistance, including food and medical supplies, to Syrian people
Iran has sent a second batch of humanitarian assistance, including food and medical supplies, to Syrian people plagued by the year-long crisis in the country.
The 40-ton shipment, which arrived in Damascus on Thursday, included medicines, blankets, tents, medical tools and dialysis equipment.
Earlier on the day, Tehran dispatched the first batch of the humanitarian aid.
Iran's Ambassador to Syria Mohammad Reza Sheibani said the Iranian aid was delivered in line with the broad relations between the two countries and due to Tehran’s support for Damascus, following the recent developments.
Sheibani announced that Iran will also send three further shipments of humanitarian supplies to the Arab country in the future.
